SHEET PILE

SHEET PILE a constructive component in steel, hot rolled, shaped such as to achieve a suitable guide for insertion into the adjacent section in the ground, up to a suitable depth below the floor of the excavation, in order to build a continuous wall structure as supportingsaid sheet pile wall.

ADVANTAGES of piling support structures other than the category special foundations, curtains of micro vertical piles and concrete cutoff walls:
1) Rapid progress of the work with the consequent reduction of the duration and expenses of the work:
– No need to implement kerbstones driving and consequent demolition of the same in the finished work;
– Surgery without the use of mortars dry bentonite or polymer resulting in problems and charges of disposal of special waste in landfills;
– Assembly not bound to atmospheric conditions;
– Instant load capacity, no need to wait for curing times of concrete, so you can immediately proceed with the excavations.
2) Adaptability in contexts pose in the presence of surface groundwater or underground services water. The shape of the sheet pile itself ensures a good hydraulic sealing and in the case of high flying water or when they are not tolerated even modest water ingress, for the entire length at sight can be welded or hermetically sealed with resin type polyurethane to achieve joints watertight, so you can keep dry excavation without ever lowering the water table upstream of the same and to avoid losses of any neighboring collectors.
3) Where it is proven the presence of non-cohesive fine material, a continuous wall fails to prevent the depletion of material in areas upstream excavation so as to avoid possible damage to the road surface resulting in the displacement of underground roads and adjacent neighbors.
4) Delivery of ready-made profiles for use with performance specifications established during the prefabrication of the same steel manufacturer, available in the desired length in the form of profiled single / double / triple and in the type of steel and the stiffness required.
5) Adaptability to any wall geometry (a polygon, circles, etc …) with the aid of corner elements of various types to implement any directional deviation.
6) Ease of transport and handling on site.
